Music for Your Soul
Give your spirit the gift of a beautiful afternoon of some of the greatest inspirational songs, featuring the sounds of the Metropolitan Male Choir, a 30-piece MMCSA Orchestra and special performances by our 2024 scholarship winners Samantha Li (piano), Max Junge (voice) and Jonathan Wong (Piano).
The concert will include crowd favourites “When the Saints” and “Amazing Grace” and the stirring overture by Beethoven from “Christ on the Mount of Olives.” The Choir will perform the glorious harmony of “Ubi Caritas”, “Down by The River” and “Amen.” Hear the wonderful Xhosa prayer “Ukuthula” and Fauré’s beautiful classic “Cantique de Jean Racine.” The program also includes the popular “Morning Has Broken” and “The Lord’s Prayer” (Malotte).
You will enjoy this moving program in the remarkable setting of the neo-Gothic Kent Town Uniting Church. We look forward to seeing you there.
The choir is lead by our music director, Evan Patton and deputy music director and accompanist Sachiko Hidaka.
